Four routes into the practice: structured CA Articleship for students under the ICAI New Scheme, CMA practical training for ICMAI students, B.Com / M.Com Internships for commerce graduates exploring the field, and full-time Accountant / Paid Assistant roles.
Practical training under the ICAI New Scheme of Education and Training, effective 1 July 2023. Rotations across audit & assurance, direct tax, GST, ROC, valuations and advisory — you work with the partner on the engagement, not for an associate two layers down.
Practical training under the ICMAI Practical Training Scheme, for students working towards the Cost and Management Accountant qualification. Rotations across cost and management accounting, financial accounting, direct and indirect tax, and MIS — on live client files, alongside our CA articles.
For commerce graduates and final-year students who want to learn what taxation and audit actually look like before choosing a path. Deep exposure, a real desk, real files — not a coffee-and-photocopy internship.
A full-time paid role for accounting and bookkeeping staff who want to own client relationships rather than process vouchers. You carry a portfolio end-to-end and speak to the client yourself.

I am working as an Article Assistant at Swati K and Co. for the past 19 months. During this time, I have gained good practical knowledge and exposure in accounting and finance.
